New head of Multinational Joint Task Force on Boko Haram, appointed

A new head of the multinational Joint Task force on Boko
Haram has been appointed. He is Major General Iliya Abbah.
Until his appointment, Maj. Abbah was the head of
operations in the Niger Delta. He takes over from Brig-Gen.
T. Y. Buratai who was recently appointed the Chief of Army
Staff by President Buhari.
