Mike Tyson is being turned into a cartoon detective with a foul-mouthed pigeon as his sidekick.
The former undisputed boxing champion will voice the animated character, who is armed with a magical facial tattoo, and will also make live action appearances.
Mike Tyson Mysteries is scheduled to go out on the Adult Swim network next season.
"With a magical tattoo on his face and a trusty associate by his side - a talking pigeon - if you have a problem that needs solving, Iron Mike is in your corner," the network said in a statement.
Tyson is known for being a pigeon-fancier in real life and has called them his "escape".
The weekly 15-minute show will be made by Warner Brothers Animation.
However, it is not the first time Tyson's character has been used in an animated series.
He is also said to be the inspiration for The Simpsons character Drederick Tatum - a high-pitched, lisping ex-boxer who has appeared in several episodes.
Since his exit from the ring, Tyson, 46, has had bit parts in several films and TV shows during his retirement.
He appeared in hit comedy The Hangover, boxing movie Rocky Balboa, as well as television series How I Met Your Mother.
Tyson was the youngest person ever to be heavyweight champion when he won the title at age 20. He went on to hold all versions of the title but his career was plagued by controversy.
He was jailed for rape in 1992 and infamously bit off part of Evander Holyfield's ear during a 1997 championship fight.
