Beckham retires from football

Former Manchester United star David Beckham has announced his retirement from football.
The 37-year-old midfielder has called time on a glittering career after helping Paris St Germain to the French championship, which made him the first Englishman to win titles in four different countries.
Becks made his United debut in a League Cup tie at Brighton on 23 September 1992 and went on to win six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League in 1999.
The right winger netted 85 times in 394 appearances for Sir Alex's men during that trophy-laden period, in which he became a global icon. A master of the dead ball, he'll always be remembered for his incredible goal from the halfway line against Wimbledon in 1996.
He left Old Trafford for Real Madrid in the summer of 2003 and spent four seasons in Spain, winning La Liga in the last of those, before signing for LA Galaxy.
Two loan spells with AC Milan followed before he moved to Paris in January.
Beckham is also England’s most-capped outfield player, having made 115 appearances since his international debut in September 1996.
