
Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike today swore in new
permanent secretaries into various ministries and redeployed some existing
ones. At the ceremony which held in the government house in Port Harcourt, Wike
charged the permanent secretaries to be partisan in their duties and not be
politically instigated.

“Your are appointed to make your contributions to the new
Rivers State. You are not appointed to to be partisan. I don't want what
happened in the past to reoccur. If you read the report of the Judicial
Commission of Inquiry, permanent secretaries abdicated their responsibilities
to do things not expected of them. "he said

The newly sworn in permanent secretaries are: Onyenachi
Nwankwo. (ETCHE LGA), Ernest Chapp-Jumbo. (BONNY LGA), Samuel Ibemeru
(OBIO/AKPOR LGA), Michael Ejiowhor (EMOHUA LGA), Lekia Bukpor (KHANA LGA) and
Dumo Jack (AKUKU-TORU) LGA.
