Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano has signed a Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) with Affordable Building Concepts International Limited
to build 10,000 housing units for workers.
The project, according to Obiano, will cost an estimated
$476.1m (N95.2b) and will occupy 200 hectares of land.
The governor hoped that the project would bring relief to
Ndi Anambra, especially civil servants who lived far away.
“This is the third MoU we are signing on housing. We hope
that these will go a long way in ameliorating our housing challenges.
Chairman of Anambra State Investment Promotion and
Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), Igwe Cyril Enweze said the project would promote
urban development and modernisation, even as it provided affordable housing for
the people.
