Tottenham Hotspur forward, Emmanuel Adebayor’s days may be numbered at White Hart Lane. But it seems the Togo international will only leave for a salary equal to his current pay packet of £100,000 a week, which may leave Spurs struggling for offers.
According to reports Spurs are keen to offload Adebayo in the summer to recruit a younger and more prolific striker, but Adebayor isn’t ready to leave Tottenham just yet, the Mirror said. Among his possible replacements at White Hart Lane are Christian Benteke, Braga’s forward Eder and QPR’s Loic Remy.
Moving clubs has never been Adebayo’s weakness considering his profile since coming to the Premier league from Olympic Marseille and he is often happy to leave his football ties behind. Meanwhile Adebayo may have to start pondering his next move to avoid being caught unawares.
The Togo national team skipper had a good AFCON 2013 tournament before his side lost to Burkina Faso in the semi- final. He almost single-handedly led the team to the final in what will go down as Togo’s best performance in AFCON.
