17 year old Leelah (Josh) Alcorn committed
suicide on Sunday December 28th by walking in
front of a tractor trailer and left a suicide note
before he died. But when her mum reacted to
her death on Facebook, she wrote something
that many folks in the gay/transgender world
are very upset about. First the mother said she
was 16 when Leelah wrote she was 17. Carla
called her Joshua instead of the name she'd
given herself, Leelah and she also refused to
acknowledge that Leelah had committed suicide
instead she wrote that she was hit by a trailer.
Meaning that she still doesn't accept who
Leelah was as a person even after she
committed suicide. After the backlash, Carla
deleted the post and removed herself from
Facebook. Leelah Alcorn blamed his suicide on
his Christian parents...

Nigeria's Vice President and running mate of

Muhammadu Buhari, have both failed to present
their University Degree certificates to the
Independent National Electoral Commission as
part of documents to be tendered before the
electoral commission by any aspirant
Arc. Namadi Sambo who presented his
nomination forms to INEC on Dec 10th stated in
his form that his BSc and MSc certificates from
his Alma mater, Ahmadu Bello University ABU

The bodies of eight children who are siblings
and aged between 18 months and 15-years-old,
were found at a home in Cairns, Australia in the
early hours of today Dec. 19th following a
massacre.
Their mother was also stabbed but she survived
and is currently in critical condition in the
hospital.
Detective Inspector Bruno Asnicar said
that the woman was the mother of seven
of the dead children with the other child a
relation. He described the massacre as a
'tragic and traumatic event'. Scores of
detectives, paramedics and forensic
officers have swarmed over the home on
Murray St in Manoora, around 4km west of
the coastal town's main tourist strip.
Details about what investigators found inside
the house has not been revealed but a
neighbour said she had been told there were
bloody scenes 'everywhere' inside. Officers who
arrived first on the scene said it was like
'something out of a horror movie'. Specialist
police officers are now on their way from
Brisbane to help with the situation and the
crime scene is completely locked down.
'There's not much else we can say, but what
we have a range of strategies in place to
support the family through this very difficult
time,' Detective Inspector Asnicar said.
'It's a tragic and traumatic with so many
deceased in one place. It's right up there with
some of the most serious things I've ever had
to deal with.'
Ms Thaiday said another sibling, a 20-year-old
man, arrived home to discover his brothers and
sisters dead inside the house.
He is now being consoled by other family
members.
'I'm going to see him now, he needs comforting,'
Ms Thaiday said. She described the family and
extended relatives as close-knit and many live in
surrounding suburbs.
'We're a big family and most of us are from the
(Torres) Strait,' she said, adding that she rushed
to the scene after hearing about the incident on
the radio.
The woman at the centre of the Cairns family
massacre was ‘happy go lucky and seemed to
really love her kids’, Daily Mail Australia has
been told.
Robert Struber, who lived for 20 years in the
house where the stabbing murders took place
said he had spoken with the 34-year-old on
several occasions while visiting his former
neighbours.
He said the last time he had seen the mother a
few months ago she was ‘friendly and happy to
chat’ and that she had mainly looked after her
large family.
Mr Struber had not met the father of the
children.
He said the street had a mixture of Aboriginal
families and people from the Torres Strait and
Cook Islands. he moved out of the four bedroom
house two years ago because it was too large,
and said that following the tragedy he ‘never
wanted to go back inside it’.
Mr Struber described the 34-year-old woman at
the centre of the family massacre as ‘happy go
lucky and seemed to really love her kids’. He
had spoken with her on several occasions while
visiting his former neighbours.
He said she had mainly looked after her large
family well. Mr Struber had not met the father
of the children.
Police said it would be several hours before
forensic officers would be able to complete
their work inside the house - while detectives
continued inquiries to establish what had led up
to the slaughter.
Detectives rushed to the house in Murray Street
at about 11.20am today after they received
reports a woman had suffered serious injuries.
The street has been branded a crime scene and
the area has been locked down. Their home is a
rented Housing Commission residence.

15 year old Nigerian schoolboy and footballer,
Joel Adeshina was stabbed to death at Bethnal
Green Road in East London on Friday night
December 5th by a group of boys.
According to Scotland Yard police, Joel was on
his way home with some of his friends when
they were attacked by a gang who pursued
them into an estate, managed to corner Joel
and then stabbed him in the stomach.
"Police were called by London Ambulance
Service to Bethnal Green Road, E2, at
23:04hrs on Friday, 5 December. Officers
attended and found a 15-year-old boy
suffering from serious stab injuries to the
abdomen. The boy was taken by London
Ambulance Service to an east London
hospital. He died in hospital at 02:12hrs on
Saturday, 6 December.’ a Scotland Yard
spokesperson said
Manager of Joel's football team Bardag FC
Yellows, Ricky Downes, said Joel, who was a
winger, was ‘as good as gold’ and talented
enough to play professionally.
"To say that myself and the club are
devastated is an understatement, we are
absolutely in bits. Joel was a wonderful
young lad who had the world at his
feet. He was a very talented footballer and
had ambitions of playing professionally. I
think he had a future in the sport and could
have played for a living. There was
something about Joel that touched me and
his death is totally unexpected. He never
gave me any inkling that he was involved
in gangs or anything like that. He was
cheeky, bubbly, and a thoroughly likeable
young man.’ he said
No one has so far been arrested for Joel's
murder. MET Police say they are still
investigating.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo launched
his controversial autobiography 'My Watch' at
the Lagos Country club Ikeja, Lagos today Dec.
9th. Guest at the event included former VC of
the University of Lagos, Prof. Ibidapo Obe and
former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili.
According to reports, one of the chapters of the
book titled "To be or not to be, Jonathan"
Obasanjo said he was deceived by late
President Umaru Yar'Adua about his health
status before facilitating his emergence as the
PDP flag bearer in 2007.
In the book, Obasanjo was quoted to have said;
" As can be expected, I was heavily
involved in the transition and exit process
that saw me leaving office for my
successor, Umaru Yar’Adua, as recounted
in Chapter Thirty-seven, the ninth chapter
of the second volume of this book. The
unprepared and unplanned transition from
Yar’Adua to Jonathan was a more difficult
exercise in some respects. One reason
was the ‘cloak and dagger’ manner in
which Yar’Adua’s illness was handled. The
illness of a President cannot be regarded
as private. His health has implications for
the security and wellbeing of the nation.
For the president and those around him to
have attempted strenuously to keep the
fact of the severity of his illness from
public smacks of ignorance of the
enormity of what the job entails and the
level of provinciality of their understanding,
attitude, and approach. I remember that in
1978 or 1979 Chief Awolowo visited me
while I was military head of state and
shared with me how he would always stay
at home to attend to the work at hand and
only make a private visit to the UK once a
year for health reasons if he became
president of Nigeria. I made it clear to the
chief that once he became president of
Nigeria, he could have no private visit to
anywhere as such. Wherever he would be,
he would be on duty, and the totality of his
life would be public. I jokingly added that
the only privacy he might lay claim to
would be when he was at home with Mama
Chief H.I.D., and that even then his
security staff would be on twenty-four-hour
duty. "
The launch of the three volume book was
stopped by a court injunction secured by a
former friend of Obasanjo, Prince Buruji
Kashamuon on Friday December 5th but lawyers
to Chief Obasanjo advised him to go ahead with
the launch.
